22 Mobility | January 2017 WORLDWIDE ERC ® GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS 2017 The turnout for the meetings of the Worldwide ERC ® Government Affairs Forums at the Global Workforce Symposium in Washington, D.C., was tremendous. Each of the meetings included between 50 and 100 attendees. We will be expanding the room capacity for the meetings at the Americas Mobility Conference in Atlanta to accommodate the surge in volume. With the increase in attendance and more Worldwide ERC ® members having a voice in the policy issues facing the workforce mobility indus- try, the forums are also expanding in prominence on important topics. The forums are addressing issues from immigration reform to moving and homeowner tax deductions to Brexit. These are issues the new U.S. administration and Congress, and Britain and the European Union (EU), respec - tively, will be tackling in the coming year. These issues will have a major impact on the relocation of transferees. Through the forums, Worldwide ERC ® will be well-positioned to discuss and educate our members on these critical issues. There is no formal registration for the forum meetings. You can just show up for one or all of them. If you would like to become a member of a forum prior to the meetings in Atlanta and receive the agenda and material in advance, please contact the appropriate forum chairs at their correspond - ing email addresses, below. If you can't attend the forum meetings but want to hear the latest on the issues discussed, plan to attend the Worldwide ERC ® Government Affairs Update, tentatively scheduled for Thursday, May 18, at 10:45 a.m., which will feature reports from several of the forum chairs and vice chairs. Below is the schedule of the forum meetings in Atlanta.
